Ooh, a new Sims 1 forum! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been bouncing back and forth between Sims1 and Sims2 for years. I'm currently in a Sims1 phase after a couple years of 2. The original game just has so much humor and charm that I need to revisit it again and again.
I'm so thrilled that there are other folks besides me who still play and love this old game. I'm even more excited to find *new* stuff is still being made!
I also love the drive in theme! Growing up I was fortunate to be near a surviving drive in from the Rt. 66 days. Today I live with in day tripping distance of a wonderfully restored retro drive in in PA called the Mahoning Drive In. I'm looking forward to summer and some classic movies on a huge outdoor screen.

Nice to see you, Claire Charming!💗
The original game really is where it's at. I've been playing it since 2002(!), and while I've tried Sims 2 before, it's just not the same. I'm far too used to Sims 1 at this point. I love that the original game still has a lively community after all these years.
Really cool that you live near a vintage drive-in!👍 Sadly, all of the ones near me closed, although we do have one that's still operating as an outdoor flea market.

Claire Charming has a special place in my heart because she's the poor girl I used to test so many mods with.
It's a bit spooky but I know the where the Mahoning Drive In is! I live just outside of Philly and weirdly it's only a few hours from me. Not that I've ever been-- not having my own car-- but I recall people were pretty upset when they wanted to tear it down for some reason. Nice to know it's still there.
(Somewhat off topic, I'm making a sims 2 story picking up right where sims 1 'leaves off' and she is the one sim I am determined to give a happy ending to for her services in testing my mods!)
