For a long time, "vintage" in Sims fandom strictly meant the 70s and earlier. But, now that 1999 was almost 25 years ago (!!!), there's no question that the definition of "vintage" now includes the last two decades of the 20th century, and more Simmers are interested in building and creating for this era.
So, what's out there for 80s and 90s themes? Well, I'm going to put together a list to help you.😋 Since this is a pretty big theme, I'm going to break it down into different parts. Let's start with electronics and vehicles...

Since this game originally came out in the early 00s, there's actually a few things already in there from Maxis that would work for 80s and 90s houses.
Boxy CRT TVs were the norm, and the base game has two of them:
And, there's also this stereo that looks like it could've come from the 1992 Sears Catalog:
You also have your choice of three different beige computers:

7DS and 8DS also have several things, especially for Sims who are gamers.
7DS has three awesome gaming TVs -- one for the Atari, one for the Playstation, and one for the N64.
They also have a decorative Playstation:
And, an Asteroid arcade machine:
And, this payphone and portable radio:
Meanwhile, 8DS has a wonderful decorative SNES:

Around The Sims has a few things, too. The 80s/early 90s was the last time vinyl was a mainstay in people's homes, so you might want this little turntable:
Plus, these two portable radios:
The 80s and 90s were also the last great decades for rock music. If your Sim's in a band, then they may want ATS' guitar amps and recording studio:

I love this era, so I have many things on my site, too!😊
Check out this vintage computer lab:
And, a nice collection of vending machines and soda cans:
The 80s and 90s LOVED duck-themed decor, including even duck-shaped phones! I have a nice little set right here:
If you have Sims that really love grunge music, then they may love these TV sets:
I also made these VCR and Video Game shelves that match Olena's Cube Furniture (also a must-have for 80s/90s interiors):
Plus, tons of posters for computer rooms and game rooms:

Various electronic things from other sites...
Sims Plus and Sim Wardrobe both have TONS of vintage arcade machines:
KillerSims has some 90s soda machines:
Trinkets & Treasures has a 1991 Macintosh Portable:
And, Simternational Imports' Breakfast Club theme includes a classic TRS-80 computer:
Also in TerraLuna's Simage Gallery, but I can share if needed.
Hooty Holler also has this cassette recorder. Since the site went down, and I don't know where the files are available, I'll just share it here.
Olena has this fabulous boombox:
And, this wall clock:
And, this stereo set:
(Many might think this set is 70s, but the 80s and early 90s were all about woodgrain electronics, too!)
And, Mirrored Sims has this massive old school supercomputer:
And, box of game cartridges:
Space Cadet also has these two deco only vending machines, which you can find here:
And, Livin' It Up has a classic CB radio & wall stereo:

Now, let's see what 80s and 90s vehicles are available!
Just to note, a few of the cars here may be 1978-79 models. This is because what we think of as being "80s car design" actually began in the late 70s.
Space Cadet has the best cars around (imo), and her site has no shortage of 80s and 90s classics...
(I also made recolors of this car, if you're interested.)
Now, for cars from other sites...
KillerSims has tons of 80s/early 90s VW Rabbits:
7DS also has a few cars, mostly from movies. As I said before, I'll share them with anyone who can't access the files at TerraLuna.
1994 Toyota SR5:
Back To The Future Deloreans:
Ecto 1:
Jurassic Park SUV:
Trinkets & Treasures mostly has 21st century cars, but they have a few from the 80s/90s...
1995 BMW Z3:
AMC Delorean:
1982 Porsche 911:
Livin' It Up probably has the best selection of cars besides Space Cadet.
First, Cravze's cars...
1980 Chevy Monte Carlo:
1979 Pontiac Trans Ams:
1993 Lincoln Town Car:
1979 Chrysler Lebaron:
Ambulance & Fire Truck:
80s GMC Truck:
Then, Mike's Cars...
AMC Delorean:
80s Motorhome:
1987 Chevy S10 and 1992 Ford F350:
Various 80s Chevy Vans:
And then, Slim's cars...
1979 Chrysler Lebarons:
80s/90s Official Vehicles (Including Default Replacements):
