As much as I don't consider AI generated art to be art* I was thinking that it could be something The Sims could use to make sims paint unique paintings. They could even feed it a screenshot, then prompt it with, say "oil painting of a toilet in a bathroom room painted by an angry artist who really needs to pee".
Weird, but something I would like to see in sims 5.
* My reasoning is that a human artist can make informed choices on how to do things while a computer can only copy the choices already made by human artists and cannot exercise and judgement itself.

*Off Topic but I agree with your stance on AI art. My artist friends have been talking about this a lot recently.
But using it for the sims for unique paintings would be a really cool idea!

"What is art" is literally the oldest debate in Art History discourse. I minored in that so I can go on about it all day. Artists also usually have some kind of statement, some kind of reason they are making their art. Sometimes they do just like to paint boats but let me tell you... Degas was trying to dig on ballerinas by painting them looking awkward in practice and not preforming perfectly on stage. It was a choice to unmask the performers. I don't think an AI could fully understand how the choice to paint a dancer in rehearsal might be linked to how you want to present them-- and of course as an AI it will have no feelings about ballet or cultural understanding of it as a dance medium-- or the fact he PROBABLY wanted to present them as (underage) sex workers. I don't think an AI could make the right choices for all that. Even if it could, there's substantial doubt to me it would. Not to mention it often struggles to understand how to use space. We should call them AI pretty picture generators. A little off topic but AI is mentioned in the subject line so
