So, I got sick having four (!) copies of the same toilet in my game for different permissions systems. Then I though... why not just make a universal system where you can place (hideable) tokens in a room and control who has access to the room and can use the object? If I use a call tree the tokens can use any arbitrary logic. And this, UOPS was born. Currently I have one that checks for gender/species and career paths. I'm intending to create some for age, family-only and NPC permissions as well as time of day. By default it operates in an 'OR' mode, but there's also an 'and' token... say if you want only female sims who are on the entertainer career path (I cannot imagine why) somewhere or something. I am thinking of making liaison tokens that will allow this system to talk to the Simlogical apartments (and maybe other institutions?). I guess it depends what I want, what anyone asks for and so on. (Currently, it looks at all tokens and as soon as one returns true for the sim, it stops checking UNLESS it is in 'and' mode in which case it stops as soon as something returns false.) Edit: Might do some based on sim attraction as well for creating bars of particular kinds.

In addition to things like age, gender/species, career, family and time of day I've added eight keys that you can use to create arbitrary access groups, so you could create a little studio town apartment that some sims share. Lovely candy-colored tokens (that can be easily hidden, even when away from home!). I also have an idea for how to make better hotels work with this, which will be coming after I hack more than a few test objects to work with this system. I plan to make easily cloneable bases, since adding the code to the object is a bit tricky. Sorry for all the images, but in this age of gigabit internet and live streaming I don't think three PNGs will break anyone's bandwidth.

This is a neat idea, Damon!👍 Great way to cut down on clutter in the game, while still being able to restrict rooms to certain kinds of Sims.

Yes! Genuinely, I realized I had four copies of the same toilet. The best part that it's possible to make tokens that talk to other permissions systems, too. Or stupidly specific tokens, too.
Now I'm at the tedious end of hacking objects to use the tokens... and I forgot I should hack some stairs...

This idea is wonderful!

I'm actually experimenting with a way that the objects don't need to be individually hacked. On one hand, this is taking longer than anticipated. On the other... well... it means you can use it with any object.
